Welsh Government
Welsh Government
The Welsh Government is the devolved Government for Wales. It was established in 1999 as the Executive Committee of the National Assembly for Wales by the Government of Wales Act 1998, which created a devolved administration for Wales in line with the result of the 1997 referendum on Welsh devolution and formally separated from the assembly in 2007 as the Welsh Assembly Government by the Government of Wales Act 2006. The Welsh Assembly Government was renamed Welsh Government (Llywodraeth Cymru) in practice in 2011, and in law by the Wales Act 2014.
