About Me:
Dr. Cotter is a research engineer at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. Prior to joining PNNL, she was a postdoctoral scholar at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and completed her PhD in mechanical engineering at the University of Washington. Broadly, her research is focused on developing tools to monitor and understand the impacts of human activities in the ocean, with a focus on developing automated processing and machine learning approaches to improve the acquisition and processing of these data. At the University of Washington, she led the software development for the Adaptable Monitoring Package, an integrated instrumentation package for environmental monitoring at marine energy sites.
