Horizontal Directional Drill
Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) is a construction technique whereby a tunnel is drilled under a waterway or other designated area, and a pipeline or other utility is pulled through the drilled underground tunnel. In the case of wind farms, power cables are pulled through the drilled tunnel. HDD benefits from avoiding the disruption of any other buried utilities or structures during construction.
