Abstract
Seabirds breeding at East Caithness Cliffs Special Protection Area were last counted in 1999. Since then, major changes have been seen in many seabird populations across Scotland.
Plans for major offshore wind farm developments off the Caithness coast have now received consent. It is important to have up-to-date information on the current status of the East Caithness seabird populations to support post-consent monitoring.
This report presents the results of seabird colony counts carried out in 2015.
