Abstract
Understanding potential impacts of wind farms on birds is an important concern among the scientific community. This study focuses on survey data as a means of understanding collision impacts. Scientists focus on the little Tern in their popular U.K. breeding site.
To understand flight behavior, researchers used telemetry (tagging). Telemetry proved to be a useful for understanding broad habitat use. At the very least, telemetry can provide enough information to set precautionary distance for wind farms that might converge on existing habitats.
