Abstract
The U.S. Department of Energy has considered a proposal from the State of Colorado, Office of Energy Conservation (OEC), for funding construction of the Expanded Ponnequin Wind Project in Weld County, Colorado. OEC plans to enter into a contracting arrangement with Public Service Company of Colorado (PSCo) for the completion of these activities. PSCo, along with its subcontractors and business partners, are jointly developing the Expanded Ponnequin Wind Project.
Resources and conditions considered in this analysis include: streams, wetlands, floodplains, water quality, soils, vegetation, air quality, socioeconomic conditions, energy resources, noise transportation, cultural resources, visual and land use resources, public health and safety, wildlife (including birds), threatened and endangered species, and cumulative impacts.
