Abstract
This report documents operations and environmental monitoring at the Belwind offshore wind farm during its tenth operational year, marked by unique challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite pandemic restrictions, the facility maintained essential operations through implementation of a specific Business Continuity Plan. The year saw significant organizational changes, including Parkwind's assumption of electrical maintenance responsibilities following CG Holding's bankruptcy. Environmental monitoring continued with bird assessments, fish studies, and fouling organism research coordinated by MUMM. The facility completed its 10-year maintenance cycle while monitoring structural health through frequency assessments on 20% of foundations. A notable increase in vessel intrusions was recorded (14 cases), up from 4 in 2019. The report highlights successful adaptation to pandemic conditions while maintaining environmental compliance and operational efficiency.
