Zhejiang Academy of Forestry Sciences
Zhejiang Academy of Forestry Sciences was established in 1958 and is one of the five key public welfare scientific research institutes in Zhejiang Province. In 2019, according to the Zhejiang Provincial Forestry Bureau’s public institution reform plan, the original Zhejiang Provincial Forest Product Quality Inspection Station was integrated into the Zhejiang Provincial Academy of Forestry Sciences. The unit specification is a division-level public welfare second-class public institution with a staff of 121. It carries important functions such as Zhejiang forestry applied technology and basic theoretical research, promotion and transfer of scientific and technological achievements, forest product quality inspection and testing, and judicial appraisal (the only comprehensive forestry appraisal institution in Zhejiang). It has successively won many honors such as "National Advanced Collective in Forestry Science and Technology", "National Advanced Collective with Outstanding Contributions to Ecological Construction", "National Forestry Intellectual Property Rights Pilot Unit", and "Advanced Grassroots Party Organization of Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China". According to statistics from the State Forestry and Grassland Administration, the unit’s intellectual property rights have ranked among the top among provincial forestry research institutes nationwide for many years.
