The Ebro Delta is the largest wetland area in Catalonia, with an area of 320 km2. Is one of the most important aquatic habitats of the western Mediterranean.
The balance between the natural wealth and exploitation by man has never been easier, so in 1983, the Government of Catalonia approved the creation of the Ebro Delta, occupied regions of MontsiĆ” (hemidelta right) and the Lower Ebro (hemidelta left).
Populations that are part of the hemidelta right, highlight Amposta, along with their districts (Ballad and Poblenou Delta) has a greater representation of inhabitants. The interpretation center gaps of Ebro Delta is in the pond Encanyissada.
