Eastern Golden Eagle Working Group (EGEWG)
The Eastern Golden Eagle Working Group (EGEWG) is a multidisciplinary team whose members share a passion for Golden Eagles and their conservation. Founded in 2010 by a small group of researchers based in Pennsylvania, their effort has grown to include collaborators from federal and state agencies, non-profit conservation and research organizations, and several universities. They support research and management actions that address international, regional, and local conservation challenges for the species. Collaborators have published numerous papers in the scientific literature, and EGEWG has held meetings at locations throughout the eastern Golden Eagle range, including Pennsylvania, Maine, Quebec, West Virginia, Michigan, and Kentucky.
