Abstract
The noise measurement case presented in this work took place in August 2007 in a small community located on the Finnish west coast, where an 1×1 MW pitch regulated variable speed wind turbine caused many complaints from the nearby holiday residents after its initial start-up in 2006. New specific receiver testing procedures were introduced prior to the test for performing just one overnight measurement under desired weather conditions. The goal was to test the sound power level and outdoor far field sound pressure levels at receiver point, including the verification of narrow band and impulsive sounds, during the night time and downwind conditions.
