Abstract
This report documents operational activities and environmental monitoring at the Belwind offshore wind farm during 2014, including both the main Phase 1 facility (55 3MW turbines) and new construction of a 6MW Alstom Haliade demonstration turbine. Located 46km offshore of Zeebrugge, the facility maintained high availability (99.8%) throughout the year. Notable environmental research activities included fish telemetry studies, electromagnetic field measurements, and scientific diving programs. The report details compliance with permit conditions, maintenance activities, and preparations for the Nobelwind Phase 2 expansion. New environmental monitoring initiatives were implemented, including fish behavior studies and cable EMF assessments, while maintaining ongoing programs for bird monitoring, fishing impacts, and substrate analysis.
