Presenter: Dr. Taber Allison, Director of Research and Evaluation American Wind Wildlife Institute
This webinar featured an in-depth presentation on AWWI’s Eagle Mitigation and Conservation Toolbox, which includes modeling tools that advance the science needed to facilitate wind energy development while conserving eagles. These tools can also be used to support broader eagle conservation efforts beyond wind energy.
The models highlighted during the webinar help solve a scientific and practical challenge raised by eagle conservation law: how to reliably quantify the number of eagles saved by a given technique, including voluntary lead abatement (recently published) and reducing vehicle strikes.
