The enduring COVID-19 global emergency does not allow the Marine Technology Society and the IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society, co-sponsors of OCEANS 2020 Singapore and OCEANS 2020 Gulf Coast, to hold these conferences as planned with all their regional distinctiveness by their respective organizing committees. Safety of the participants being paramount, the organizing committees have decided to combine forces and invite worldwide community participation to a single virtual conference “Global OCEANS 2020: Singapore – U.S. Gulf Coast”, which will feature a mix of live and on-demand events available to all registrants from October 5th - 30th, 2020.
Global thought leaders and innovators in the areas of marine technology, engineering, science, research, and education will gather together to learn and experience cutting-edge technologies in the field of marine science, hear from industry experts and engineers regarding the latest research and innovations, discuss current environmental issues and policies affecting the field, and collaboratively work together to move the fields of marine technology and engineering forward.
Join the thousands of professionals who have made OCEANS their home for continued learning:
- Businesses, institutions, individual professionals and students who are ocean engineers, technologists, policy makers and educators
- Members of academia, government and industry who want a common forum for the exchange of information and ideas
- Professionals interested in all aspects of science, engineering, and technology that address research, development, and operations pertaining to all bodies of water; this includes the creation of new capabilities and technologies from concept design through prototypes, testing, and operational systems to sense, explore, understand, develop, use, and responsibly manage natural resources
- Individuals interested in sessions that are scientific, literary, and educational in character that strive for the advancement of the theory and practice of electrotechnology, allied branches of engineering, and related arts and sciences, applied to all bodies of water; and the maintenance of high professional and ethical standards among its members and affiliates.
Further details of this first-ever virtual OCEANS conference will be posted in the coming weeks on the conference website and on the Societies’ social media channels.
