As part of the ongoing U. S. Department of Energy OES-Environmental initiative on environmental effects of marine renewable energy, we organized an online workshop to demonstrate and review the Guidance Documents for Risk Retirement and other tools that have been developed for regulatory decision-making around environmental effects of marine renewable energy.
The workshop is aimed at regulators and advisors involved in permitting environmental effects of marine renewable energy. The goal of the workshop is to share tools that may be useful and to receive feedback on the application of the guidance documents to permitting processes. These guidance documents bridge between scientific evidence and the application of that knowledge for regulatory processes.
