The Portal and Repository for Information on Marine Renewable Energy (PRIMRE) team recently launched a new and improved version of Telesto, which is home to open-source wiki pages, structured databases, and tools that provide information about the development life cycle of marine energy.
The PRIMRE team hosted a public webinar on 28 November 2023 from 10:00-11:00 AM MT that highlighted key features of the new organization, which presents content on planning, designing and building, testing, deploying, and decommissioning of marine energy devices. Incorporated within Telesto is information on performance metrics, economics, standards, compliance, and lessons learned from lab and field testing. For example, the PRIMRE team conducted interviews with subject matter experts to collect lessons learned from past and present marine energy research, development, and deployment projects in the United States. Telesto presents the main lessons learned across a variety of themes and features links to relevant resources throughout PRIMRE. Telesto also provides useful information for calculating the levelized cost of energy of devices, a testing facilities database, software for working in the marine energy industry, information on Technology Performance Level assessments, a materials testing database and more.
