The Tidal Energy Research Group at the University of Oxford's Department of Engineering Science is hosting the 1st Oxford Tidal Energy Workshop, OTE 2012, in Oxford on the 29th and 30th of March, 2012.
This two day workshops will provide opportunities for scientists, engineers, and researchers to discuss technical issues in tidal stream power generation. Topics may include, but are not limited to:
- Device-scale problems (hydrodynamics, design, fluid-structure interactions, etc)
- Array-scale problems (wake interaction, array optimisation, etc)
- Basin-scale problems (resource assessment, environmental impact, etc)
- Novel experimental, computational, and theoretical approaches for tidal energy research
